Cardlet — Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 September 2026
These terms take effect when Cardlet is first released on the App Store.
These terms are an agreement between you and Vladislav Morozovskii (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Cardlet app and the services behind it. Using Cardlet means you accept them.
1. What Cardlet is
A study app: a note editor, spaced-repetition flashcards, an assistant that turns source material into cards, and a planner. Most of it runs on your device. An optional account lets you buy and restore plans: Cardlet Pro adds sync between devices, while Cardlet Pro + AI also adds cloud AI generation.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple. You need an account to buy or restore a plan. Notes, flashcards, review, the planner and on-device card generation work without one.
Keep your Apple ID secure — anyone who can sign in as you can reach your Cardlet data. Tell us at vladmorozovskii@icloud.com if you think someone else has access.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
3. Your content is yours
Notes, flashcards, images and everything else you create remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
To provide the service you give us permission to store your content, transmit it between your devices, and — only if you turn cloud AI on — send the text you select to our AI provider so that cards can be generated from it. That permission exists for that purpose and no other. We do not use your content to train models, we do not read it, and we do not share or sell it.
You are responsible for what you put into Cardlet. Do not upload material you have no right to use, and do not use the app to store or distribute anything unlawful.
4. Cloud AI
Cloud generation is off until you turn it on. Turning it on sends the source text you choose to OpenRouter, as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI output can be wrong. Generated cards may contain mistakes, omissions or invented detail. They are a study aid, not a source of truth, and you should check anything that matters against your own material. Cardlet is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
Each generation costs one credit from your monthly allowance, however many cards it produces. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month, UTC. A generation that fails does not cost a credit.
5. Cardlet subscriptions
Cardlet Pro and Cardlet Pro + AI are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Pro includes cloud sync. Pro + AI includes cloud sync and up to 300 cloud AI generations per calendar month.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you.
- Deleting your Cardlet account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it with Apple first.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change; a change never applies to a period already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms: support.apple.com/billing.
If a subscription lapses, cloud sync and cloud AI pause. Your server data remains until you delete your account, every local note and card stays on your device, and on-device card generation remains available.
6. Fair use
Do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to exceed your allowance by tampering with requests, no reverse engineering beyond what the law permits, no reselling access. We may suspend an account that does these things, and we will tell you why.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Cardlet running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups, but they are our safety net, not a guarantee to you.
8. Liability
Cardlet is provided “as is”, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, and nothing here overrides it.
9. Ending it
You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription with Apple, delete your account in the app, delete the app.
We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, with notice unless the law prevents it.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Cardlet after that means you accept them.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Belarus. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the country where you live.
